1. Introduction
Welcome to Wakey, a mobile application developed and owned by LAJON ("we," "us," "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use Wakey (the "App").
By downloading, accessing, or using Wakey, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
Wakey may collect the following types of information depending on the features you use:
a) Alarm & Mission Data
To provide its core functionality, Wakey collects and stores data about your alarm usage, including:
- Alarm times, schedules, and repeat settings
- Selected missions and challenge types
- Mission completion status and results
- Wake-up streaks and progress history
- In-app preferences and configuration
This data is used solely to operate the App and personalise your experience.
b) Photos & Media (Mission Verification)
Certain wake-up missions require you to take a photo to verify completion — for example, taking a picture of the sky, your surroundings, or stepping outside. When you use such a mission:
- The App accesses your device camera to capture the photo.
- The photo may be processed (on-device or via a trusted service) to verify that the mission was completed correctly.
- We use photos only for mission verification purposes and do not sell, share, or store them beyond what is necessary to confirm task completion.
Photo capture only occurs when you actively initiate a photo-based mission. The App does not access your camera at any other time.
c) Sensor Data (Motion-Based Missions)
For motion-based wake-up missions — such as push-ups, steps, or device movement detection — the App may access your device's accelerometer or motion sensors.
- Sensor data is used in real time to detect and count physical movements required to complete the mission.
- We do not store raw sensor readings beyond the active mission session. Only the completion result (e.g., "mission completed") is saved.
d) Device & Usage Data
We may collect non-identifying technical data to maintain and improve the App:
- Device model, manufacturer, and operating system version
- App version and language settings
- App interaction events (e.g., features used, session duration, screens visited)
- Crash logs, error reports, and performance diagnostics
e) Support Communications
If you contact our support team, we may collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, and the content of your message — to respond to and resolve your request.
f) Subscription & Purchase Metadata
If you purchase Wakey premium features via the App Store or Google Play, we may receive limited transaction metadata from the platform (subscription status, product identifiers, renewal timestamps). We do not receive or store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate Wakey's alarm, mission, and tracking features
- Manage your alarms, missions, streaks, and progress
- Verify mission completion through photo or motion analysis
- Improve App performance, stability, and user experience
- Provide customer support and respond to requests
- Monitor and fix bugs, crashes, and security issues
- Manage your subscription and handle refund or dispute requests
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising profiling and do not sell it to third parties.
4. Photo and Mission Verification
Certain Wakey features require photo or motion-based verification to confirm that a wake-up mission was genuinely completed. For example, a mission may ask you to take a picture of the sky, step outside, or complete a physical activity.
- Camera access is only requested when you actively start a photo mission.
- Photos are used solely to verify mission completion and are not stored permanently on our servers beyond what is needed to confirm the result.
- Motion sensor data is processed in real time and not retained after the mission is complete.
- We do not sell mission verification data to any third party.
5. Data Retention
- Alarm & Mission Data: Retained for as long as you use the App and your account remains active, to power streaks and history features. You can delete this data by clearing your app data or uninstalling the App.
- Photos: Used for mission verification and not retained on our servers beyond the verification process.
- Sensor Data: Processed in real time during active missions; not retained after the session ends.
- Usage & Diagnostics: Retained as needed for operational purposes and in accordance with third-party provider policies.
- Support Communications: Retained as long as necessary to resolve your request and for a reasonable period thereafter.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when necessary:
- Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors that help us operate the App (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, cloud infrastructure), under contractual data processing safeguards.
- Legal Obligations: If required by applicable law, valid court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of LAJON assets. You will be notified of any material change in data ownership.
7. Third-Party Services
Wakey uses the following third-party services for operational purposes:
- Firebase (Google): Crash reporting, performance monitoring
- Google Analytics for Firebase: Aggregated, anonymised usage analytics
These providers may collect device identifiers and usage events under their own privacy policies. You can manage analytics permissions in your device settings.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted data transmission between the App and our servers (TLS/HTTPS)
- Access controls limiting who can access stored data
- Minimising the data collected and retained
However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device software updated and contact support@lajon.co if you suspect any security issue.
9. Your Choices & Controls
- Camera & Sensor Permissions: You can grant or revoke camera and motion sensor permissions in your device settings at any time. Revoking permissions will disable the corresponding mission types.
- Notifications: You can disable alarm notifications in your device settings. Note that this will prevent alarms from triggering.
- Analytics: Adjust analytics and tracking permissions in your device settings where available.
- Delete Your Data: Clear your app data via device settings, or contact support@lajon.co to request deletion of server-side data.
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data and stops all further data collection.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to certain types of processing
- Data portability where applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

11. Children's Privacy
Wakey is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law without parental or guardian consent. If we learn that a child has used the App without appropriate consent, we will take steps to remove any associated data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates become effective once published within the App or on this page. Continued use of Wakey after an update means you accept the revised policy. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.
